Suziria Charity is the philanthropic arm of Suziria Group, providing systemic support to animals searching for homes, as well as to the shelters and volunteers who care for them. Our core areas of work include humanitarian aid in the form of food and veterinary supplies, improving living conditions in shelters, and supporting sterilization and vaccination programs.
Suziria Charity focuses its efforts on Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region — the company’s roots are in Kharkiv, and we remain committed to supporting our local communities.
Suziria Charity provides comprehensive humanitarian support to shelters and volunteers to improve the quality of life for animals awaiting adoption. The majority of our aid comes in the form of food and treats, along with veterinary supplies for treatment and preventive care, hygiene products, and other essentials needed to ensure animals are kept in dignified conditions.
Since 2022, more than 100,000 animals across Ukraine have received support from Suziria Charity.
We invest in shelter infrastructure because living conditions matter — not only for the animals, but also for the people who care for them every day.
Together with our partner Animals 911 Ukraine, we supported the construction of three new enclosures in Kharkiv for dogs evacuated from the most dangerous frontline areas. At the Mudra Ryba shelter in the Kharkiv region, we funded enclosure renovations, water supply installation, and a drainage system to ease the team’s daily operations. In Irpin, in partnership with the Home of Special Tails, we created a dedicated space for animals with severe injuries: we fully equipped a room for paralyzed animals — from renovation and plumbing to lighting and specialized boxes — and later installed a ventilation system throughout the entire shelter.
As shelter founder Anastasiia Tykha shares:
“Our partnership with Suziria Charity has helped us become who we are today and save hundreds of animals. Thanks to these changes, our shelter meets European standards and is the largest facility in Ukraine for animals with spinal injuries.”
Suziria Charity also provides systemic support for the sterilization of stray animals as one of the key tools for humane population control. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the rapid growth in the stray animal population has become especially acute in frontline regions, where many animals are left without homes or proper care.
As part of this initiative, we support sterilization programs at our partner clinic Virni Druzi in Kharkiv. To date, more than 2,000 animals have been sterilized with the foundation’s support.
A charitable initiative that our MasterZoo pet store chain has been systematically developing in partnership with UAnimals since 2022. Its mission is to save four-legged friends affected by the war by supporting shelters and organizing mobile veterinary missions in frontline areas — places without veterinary clinics, where no one else can provide professional care for animals. During these missions, veterinarians sterilize, vaccinate, and treat both stray animals and local residents’ pets. In every wave of Paw of Care, customers can purchase branded charity stickers at MasterZoo stores to contribute to the fundraising effort. Across six waves of the initiative, nearly UAH 8 million has been raised, 344,000 charity stickers have been sold, and 10 veterinary missions have been carried out — providing care for more than 8,000 four-legged patients.
In 2023, MasterZoo opened a free grooming room at Patron Pet Center — the largest adoption center in Ukraine — so that every furry friend searching for a family could receive the care and attention they deserve.
Our groomers do more than bathe, trim, and clean ears: they also help animals socialize and adapt to comfortable living conditions. Each year, more than 650 cats and dogs temporarily living at Patron Pet Center receive grooming care.
We invest in long-term social change through systemic projects and partnerships.
A joint program by Suziria Group and UAnimals — Ukraine’s leading animal welfare organization — designed to foster a culture of responsible animal treatment among children and teenagers. It’s an educational ecosystem for teachers, offering ready-to-use materials that can be easily integrated into a variety of school subjects.
The materials have been approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, making them officially eligible for classroom use. More than 4,000 children have already taken part in the lessons, while over 650 teachers have completed training and certification and are now teaching humane education.
The program’s goal is to raise a generation of responsible pet parents who understand their animals’ needs and build caring, lasting relationships with them.
A joint project by Suziria Group and Wild Theatre — one of Ukraine’s leading independent theatres — promoting adoption through contemporary culture. We chose theatre as our medium because it allows us to address meaningful topics through emotion and to bring the conversation about adoption to new audiences. The story follows a protagonist who has lost his way in life and, by chance, meets a street cat named Anton. Their encounter shifts his perspective and helps him rediscover what it means to care for another being. The play has already been seen by more than 2,200 viewers and has led to real-life adoption stories.
The Kyiv Pet-Friendly Map is a service for four-legged friends and their pet parents, created by MasterZoo in partnership with LUN. The map makes city life with pets more comfortable by bringing all animal-friendly locations together in one place.
The map currently features over 450 locations: parks and walking areas, veterinary clinics, cafés, and other places that welcome pets. Users can also contribute to the map themselves — adding new locations or updating information about infrastructure and pet policies. The platform now has more than 4,600 active users. The initiative aims to support the development of pet-friendly culture, responsible walking practices, and a comfortable urban environment for both people and animals.
Since late 2023, the MasterZoo pet store chain has been running a cat adoption program in partnership with the Street Cats and Mudra Ryba shelters. At seven MasterZoo locations in Kyiv and Kharkiv, cats live in comfort, undergo socialization, and wait for their forever families. Every cat receives medical treatment, vaccination, sterilization, and is prepared for life in a home.
To make the first days together calm and joyful, new pet parents receive a welcome box with all the essentials for their new cat. As part of the program, more than 300 cats have already found their families.
