MasterZoo, the country’s largest pet retailer, has launched an animal adoption project that helps pets temporarily living in shelters find homes. Right in the store, you can choose a dog or cat based on photos and information about it and get advice on care and a gift box.
The number of stray animals in Ukraine has increased dramatically. Currently, some shelters across the country are destroyed, while others are overcrowded and unable to help all the animals in need of adoption, treatment, and nutrition. It’s another consequence of the full-scale Russian invasion.
MasterZoo is launching an adoption project to give as many animals as possible a chance to live a fulfilling life in a family. The initiative is part of the charitable direction of the Suziria Group, which includes MasterZoo.
How it works:
Some MasterZoo stores have installed stands with photos and information about animals provided by shelters and checked by specialists. You go to a pet store, read the posters, and choose a reliable four-legged friend. The consultants tell you about the intricacies of handling and caring for a chosen four-legged friend. MasterZoo provides a gift box with a selection of snacks and cat or dog care products for comfortable adaptation and support of the animal in a new family. In a few days, the chosen one arrives at your family. If, for some reason, your relationship with your pet doesn’t work out, you have the opportunity to contact the shelter and return it. But in no case should you leave your furry friend on the street!
“At a time when most animal shelters are on the verge of survival, we could not stand aside. We decided to organize an adoption project that will address not only specific requests but also the issue of stray animals systematically. We want to draw public attention to the problem of stray animals and popularize the adoption of four-legged animals by caring Ukrainians.
