The MasterZoo pet store chain and the UAnimals charity foundation, with support from Visa and Sense Bank, have announced the results of the fourth wave of the “Paw of Care” charity initiative. The €34,000 collected during the campaign was donated to the UAnimals charity foundation for field veterinary missions in frontline cities and villages.

The “Paw of Care” initiative ran from September 16 to October 31. During this period, Ukrainians purchased 78,000 branded stickers in MasterZoo stores. Thanks to contributions from campaign partners, the donation per sticker was doubled if a sticker was paid for with a Visa card from Sense Bank.

The highest number of “paws” was purchased in Kyiv, Lviv, Kropyvnytskyi, and Sumy. A record number of stickers were purchased in a single transaction: 150 in physical stores and 500 in the online store.

“The ‘Paw of Care’ may seem like just a small sticker, but it can inspire kindness and unite people from across Ukraine in the mission to save animals. After a long break, we saw how eagerly pet lovers awaited this campaign — they purchased about 2–3 thousand stickers daily. I want to thank everyone on the MasterZoo team, our partners at UAnimals, and all the caring Ukrainians. We are achieving something great together, as so many four-legged friends still need help. Only together can we improve their lives,” said Anna Timachova, CEO of the nationwide MasterZoo pet store chain.

The funds raised during the campaign will cover at least four veterinary missions to frontline regions. During these missions, the UAnimals team sterilizes, chips, vaccinates, and treats homeless animals and pets of local residents. Many of these areas have been without veterinary clinics for a long time.

In late November, the UAnimals rescue team conducted the first such mission in Marhanets, Dnipropetrovsk region, where they helped approximately 300 animals.

“UAnimals receives countless requests for assistance to animals in frontline areas. The issue is not just the volume of requests but also the advancing front line. A place we can access today may be unreachable tomorrow. This is why financial support is critical—it’s the only way we can act to save animals in areas marked by destruction and danger,” explained Lyudmila Smolyar, head of the communications department at UAnimals.

“For Sense Bank, this is not just a charity initiative but real help where needed most. Thanks to our clients and our collaboration with partners, we’ve made a difference in the lives of hundreds of animals needing attention and care. We are proud to help create a world where assistance is readily available, as building a better future truly makes sense,” added Olena Kostenko, head of the loyalty program development department at Sense Bank.

It’s worth noting that this is the fourth time the “Paw of Care” campaign has been held. Over the previous waves, more than €90,000 were raised. Each campaign sees sticker sales grow by approximately 15%, which is why MasterZoo and UAnimals plan to continue the initiative, as many animals still need help.
